What makes me the best candidate to serve as YOUR President?

During my years at UW, I have been able to truly grow and develop as an individual. I have been able to experience much of what this campus has to offer and this has made my academic experience much more enriched! I am a charismatic and passionate leader, who is exceptionally dedicated to my roles here on campus. I feel that I have demonstrated these skills in my role as Arts Student Union President, as a Don in Housing, and a student of our campus. Over this past year, I have dedicated myself to these roles, interacting with students and building connections. Upholding a strong voice for students on prominent campus issues such as the design of a new logo and re-branding initiatives, the structure of Orientation Week, and the development of a Student Services Building is essential for the President. I can bring this strong voice to the table when working on these issues with administration, fellow executive, and students. Ensuring that student needs are recognized and met through direct student consultation is a commitment I have made as a leader on campus and is a commitment I will continue to make as FedS President.

I have established positive relationships with members of administration. I feel that I have done a great job in reaching out to the student body, seeking feedback, and effectively representing student interests. Maintaining our campus here at UW and ensuring that student's needs are met will be a pressing issue moving forward, as evident by the need for student space. As President, I will be your connection to any resources or support that you may need and ensure that exciting opportunities and events are available and communicated to you!A practical and reasonable financial structure needs to be constructed for the new Student Services building, with the focus on students and space that benefits them and ensure the University is committed to upholding our international reputation by re-enforcing academics with many of the services present on campus, such as Athletics, and Career and Counselling Services. I plan to work with students to ensure that your campus meets your needs and is conducive to your academic and personal success.

As you will read in my platform, I have put forth practical, realistic, and most importantly attainable goals as President of the Federation of Students. My platform is focused around the crucial roles of the President, serving as YOUR voice on important issues, YOUR connection to resources and support, and ensuring that UW remains YOUR campus, one that is able to assist you reach your full academic potential as a student. Furthermore, my platform is exceptionally student oriented, focusing on student needs and returning the FedS President portfolio to promoting the interests of students.
